Lantern Making at Hetty’s Place
In honour of Gloucester’s Christmas light switch on and lantern parade, we are hosting a drop-in creative activity at the ever-cool Hetty’s Place, Gloucester Food Dock, where you can make a beautiful and reusable glowing lantern, which will house an LED tealight.
Upon leaving Hetty’s, you can join in with the city’s lantern parade and then take your creation home to use as a festive decoration.
We'll be upcycling some household items, along with card, tapes, pens, ribbons and strings to create these lovely hanging decorations. Your child (or you!) will hopefully leave with some new ideas, skills and confidence to recreate even more of them at home.
All Materials provided.
This activity should take between 30-45 minutes.
Anyone making a lantern requires a ticket.
Tickets are also available on the door, subject to space.
Hetty’s Place closes at 5pm.
If you’d like to know any more details about the workshop, or if there is any information to share that can help make your child’s experience a better one, please drop me a line at helennightingalecreates@gmail.com
